Nicholas and Titi's Wedding

My brother, Nicholas, the second to the youngest in my family , was married on April 23, 2008 to Maria de los Angeles Delgado in the Manti, Utah temple. Although I was not able to travel to the wedding Kenyon and I did make it to their reception in Las Vegas...one of the many receptions. There was one in Orem, Utah on April 22, and the final reception will be on May 2 in Florida with Titi's family. Congratulation Nick and Titi!

RAY MIRON PRESIDENT'S CUP FINALS!

Our boys beat Laredo!!!! I confess I was concerned on Friday when I heard about the 9-2 loss in Game 6 against Laredo, but when push came to shove the Sundogs whipped up on Laredo 6-1 in the final game.

The next series starts on Thursday night against Colorado (BOO!!!).

My Husband Moved Me HERE?!

I went to a Monster Truck Rally when I lived in San Diego, and it was a lot of fun! It's probably the most "white trashy" I've ever been in my entire life. Little did I know what I was in for when we moved to Prescott. When I was driving past Wal-Mart yesterday on my way home I saw this:

MONSTER BUS RIDES! What in the world?!! Where did my husband move me?

Sundogs up 3-2!!!

Our boys won again tonight! Next game is in Laredo. I screamed so much I don't know if I will have a voice tomorrow.

GO SUNDOGS!

Last night we went to the second series of playoffs for the Sundogs. It was the 4th game of this series against the Laredo Bucks, and going in to the game the Sundogs were behind 1-2. We didn't have tickets but we had our Guest Passes so we arrived a little late, but the Sundogs were up 1-0, and ended the first period 2-0. Laredo is a fast scoring team and usually score first and early in the game. By the end of the second period, with Laredo's shots on goal at least double the Sundogs shots on goal, we were ahead 3-2. Within minutes of the third period Laredo tied the game 3-3. Everyone in the audience was tense, and even more pushing and hitting started happening on the ice. However less than a minute later Dusty Collins, the player from Gilbert, scored a goal, bringing the Sundogs ahead 4-3. In the last minute of the game Laredo pulled out their goal tender in order to have an extra player on the ice and hammered on the goal and the Sundog players trying to tie the game. With only 46 seconds left a fight broke out and a player from the Sundogs and Laredo were ejected from the game. Almost everyone was standing in the arena and cheering on the Sundogs as they won the 4th game and tied the series. We have at least 2 games left, the next one on Monday in Prescott, and the following back in Laredo on Friday. Hopefully, we have a win on Monday and Friday.

I have been working so hard trying to get more involved with Foreclosures, getting listings from banks and selling foreclosed properties. Myself and two other real estate agents from my office have formed the Kooiman REO Services Group and are hitting up financial institutions hard trying to win their business. We have created a booklet that we send out with our resumes and an introduction to our services

In the meantime, I have also been working at trying to get BPO's, Broker Price Opinions, and I FINALLY got my first one yesterday! Basically what I have to do is go to a property that will probably become a foreclosure, take pictures of everything, rooms, exterior pictures, views up and down the street, and any damages, come up with 3 sold comps, and 3 Listing Comps, and write up a report on what I feel the home could sell for. It's not a lot of money, but it's exposure, and hopefully more work.

ROCKY POINT, MEXICO

My broker in the real estate office I work in owns 3 condos in Rocky Point, so each year she takes the entire office to stay in her condos. This year Kenyon and I were able to join the group. It was our first time inRocky Point, and it was fun. I am a beach snob, but it wasn't bad. We arrived on Thursday night, and went out for Fish Tacos, then Friday we sat by the pool and walked on the beach. Saturday we went to the little shopping area, and surprisingly this was Kenyon's favorite part. So it was a nice little trip, but we are so happy to be home!

Snoop Dogg converted to Mormonism - Happy Belated April Fools Day

DIAMOND BAR, California (AP) -- In what some may consider an unexpected move, rap artist "Snoop Dogg" has reportedly converted to Mormonism after nearly a year of study with the fast-growing, Utah-based faith.


Snoop Dogg says he "can't get enough of the Book of Mormon."

In a statement, a spokeswoman for Snoop Dogg -- whose real name is Calvin Broadus -- said he considers himself extremely fortunate to have discovered such a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment at this stage in his life.

“Mr. Broadus is also very pleased to find that his family is as enthusiastic about attending church services as he is,” the spokeswoman said.

According to the Associated Press, Snoop Dogg was first introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as the Mormon Church is officially known, after attending a Gladys Knight concert in an LDS meeting house in Los Angeles.

Knight, who very publicly discusses her conversion to Mormonism several years ago, invited Snoop Dogg to what is known to the Mormon faithful as “Family Home Evening,” a church program that encourages families to set aside Monday evenings for gospel-centered lessons and family togetherness.

“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

In what Snoop Dogg now thinks was anything but a coincidence, Mormon missionaries had knocked on his door just one week before the Knight concert. He said he had initially turned them away because of what he knew about the strict Mormon health code, which prohibits members from smoking, drinking alcohol, and using drugs.

“Y’all know me,” he said grinning broadly. “There were just certain things the old me -- the "natural man" -- needed to do. And these young guys are telling me that God’s not down with disrespecting ourselves. But it’s cool now.”
