Temple Trip

Kenyon and I have been trying to go to the temple for a while, but of course something always happens. We, finally, drove down to Mesa on Saturday, and walk in to the temple only to discover our recommends are EXPIRED. UGH! We forgot...this whole new system with bar codes, which I totally agree with and feel are necessary, but we felt like we just received our new one and didn't even think about it. Luckily, we were able to go through for the day, and of course it was so nice to be there.

Now we just have to remember every other anniversary, renew recommend.

Goldwater Lake with the Fishers

...well most of the Fishers. Sorry you weren't here with us Brent.

We had so much fun when the Fishers came to visit us on Saturday and Sunday. We went to the Movie at the Park and saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks". It was a little cold, but it was fun! Then we went to Goldwater Lake and walked around the Lake. Every few steps Colleen's kids were like, "Here's a good picture place!" It was a lot of fun!

Happy Belated Birthday Banfield!

Kenyon's birthday was yesterday, but he had a two day celebration. On Sunday during primary we talked about our week, when it was my turn I explained that I was preparing for Brother Banfield's Birthday. So, later that night our doorbell rang. When we answered it was one of the girls from my Sunbeams class with her mom. Apparently she insisted that Sunday was Brother Banfield's Birthday and she had to get him a present. Some of her ideas were a trophy or a new pair of shoes. However her Grandma helped her understand that if she made a couple of birthday cards that would suffice. When she arrived at our home that evening, she brought her birthday cards that she made for Brother Banfield. SO CUTE!
We also had cake and ice cream with our new bff's The English's. They were so sweet and thoughtful and brought Kenyon great gifts. We love all of them.
On Kenyon's birthday his office gave him a strawberry cheescake, his favorite, and a HILARIOUS Napoleon Dynamite card. All of the girls were dying for Kenyon to open his card.
