Our Zucchini Patch

So obviously we have too many zucchini plants planted. Next year I will only plant one plant. We've had a really good crop of zucchini and have had a zucchini summer dish with tomatoes, bacon, chesse, and onions, I've made zucchini bread, and fried zucchini. It's been kind of fun.

Last weekend we went to check out our plant and see if there was anything new and found this:

YEP! a nest of 9 quail eggs. I've tried to get a picture with the mama quail sitting on them, but she won't let me get my camera inside the plant to take a good picture.

July

I just hit the 35 year mark and my husband gave me a big Costco size bag of Skittles for my birthday. I guess I will have to learn to love them, or just let him continue to eat all of them like he has. At least he has something to eat when I'm still at work and dinner isn't made.

Here's our June!

We've been so buys we haven't posted anything in over a month! so here goes...

JUNE ~ Happy Birthday Kenyon! Can you believe this kayak fit in the eclipse?!

SCARY!

This morning someone called and left a message on our house phone at 6:30AM. Of course neither of us got out of bed to answer it. Later we found out that it was one of the Dental Assistants from Kenyon's office telling us about the accident on I-17 on Memorial Day.

We were headed home from Mesa at about 9:30 pm and a car was headed toward us on the I-17 near Anthem. Kenyon was quick on his toes and was able to get in to the right hand lane before we collided with the other car. When I looked back at the car they hadn't even hit their brakes.

This morning when we got the phone call we found out that seconds after we missed colliding with that car someone else did. The head on collision resulted in the death of the drivers of both cars. Here is the link for the full story: http://www.abc15.com/content/traffic/story/DPS-Wrong-way-accident-kills-2-hurts-4-others/reVM4YtHFU-fuZPHsKB8gw.cspx

It's amazing what a matter of seconds can make, and how blessed we are!

3 YEARS! Happy Anniversary to us...

We just hit our 3 year mark today! Although we basically celebrated this past weekend we did go to the Taj Mahal for dinner tonight. YU-UM

On Memorial Day we went to the Chihuly Glass Exhibit at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens. It was pretty cool! and the glass was beautiful!

The Psycho Bookeeper

We have a psycho bookeeper....seriously! In our real estate group, we have woman who works for us, who is absolutely psychotic! It's almost funny that she's so crazy. Some of you may know I am now separated from the members in my group and am on my own, but still selling foreclosure properties. So this girl, who is 30, married to an attorney, and who thinks she knows everything has decided she is smarter than everyone in our office....but she's the bookeeper! Most recently she changed the password to the gmail account I created for work, without asking anyone's permission, and then told me I was childish because I changed the password to the account. And then, I just found out today that last week she drove by my house and took pictures of our cars in the driveway to prove to my broker that I don't do anything. And one of my ex partners used this as ammunition to explain how I am not at her beck and call. Too bad I didn't write down every time she was at the Skin Institute getting a facial and being waxed for 3 hours. However, she was stalking me because even though I showed 30 houses last week, my ex-partners and this bookeeper didn't think i was doing enough work. I guess that after I showed the last couple of house on Friday it was mandatory I go back in to my office? I guess i should have checked with the bookeeper first. I mean, maybe she's mad because I tried to find someone to replace her, but obviously she's crazy. I kind of feel sorry for her. By the way, if you're looking for a bookeeper, ask me who NOT to hire.

Garden

This is my first year at attempting a little garden, so we shall see how it goes. So far it's sprouting little green things so that's a relief! When my nieces and nephews were here for their Spring Break that was our activity. Hopefully i will have some vegetables growing soon.

If I go missing you will know why....

I am supposed to be on my happy little way up past Goldwater Lake to the wonderful listing I have on Risky Road. But, i'm a little nervous. Even though this is an REO property, the previous owners have decided to take back possession! Which wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have the property listed and 2 offers for the house! So I really don't want to go, but I have to go and check up on things. We have a case number open with the Sheriff's office, but he hasn't bothered to call me back yet. UGH! I so don't want to go.

Real Estate

I have been looking over my numbers and figuring out where I am exactly in making a contribution to our family. If I do say so myself, I am not doing a bad job. I'm going to have to show this post to Kenyon!

September 2008 - 1 house sold
October 2008 - 3 houses sold
November 2008 - 5 houses sold
December 2008 - 4 houses sold

We have definitely been blessed.

Lehi Days

Every year there is always a mini rodeo and cookout for the Lehi Stake in Mesa. We have gone almost every year we have been married, and decided to go again this year.

After we left we went to hang out with the rest of the family. Helena really isn't tall enough to sit on the seat and pedal. It's so cute to see her ride their Nacho Libre bike.
