Sedona

We have been getting more and more listings in Cornville, Cottonwood and Sedona. We figured that as long as we are paying the fees to be a part of the Board of Realtors there we may as well make it worth our time. Yesterday, Kenyon and I went for a day trip to look at most of the listings in this area and to check out a new listing in Sedona.

The new listing is on Wing Drive and sold for over $900,000 in 2005, according to an old listing sheet, so naturally I was really excited about this listing. This is what it looked like then:

When Kenyon and I pulled up in to the driveway this is what we saw

WHAT IN THE WORLD?!!! No stucco, no interior walls, no appliances, no pool, no fencing....nothing! At first when I saw the house, I was sure we pulled up to the wrong house, and I backed up and went down the street to make sure that we hadn't made a wrong turn or something. Unfortunately, the previous owners were in the process of remodeling....I think?

Once I got over my initial shock and disbelief and we finished photgraphing the property we went to inspect the rest of the properties in the area. We were gone for most of the day, but we had a nice time on our day trip.

Kenyon, Kenyon, Kenyon

Kenyon hates cooking in our house. He tries, but I don't know where he comes up with his ideas. Lately, he has not been working as much because the dental office he is with right now has not been scheduling him with patients. So this week, he had to cook because he was home all day. Let's just say it didn't go over to well the first night. However, the second night he did a great job! and he even went grocery shopping. It's so nice to have a little extra help during the week. Not that he doesn't help me out a lot, but the extra help has been nice.

However, I'm so happy he starts his new job next Monday, well...I'm not happy about the Monday start date, but I am happy he is excited about his new job.

Snow with the Evans

Yesterday afternoon Allison came in to town with Madeleine, Ansel, Johnathan, Harrison and Cash. We had a ball playing with them in the snow. We even went sledding...at one of my foreclosure listings. In order to keep the kids happy while we looked at houses, we brought our sled. The driveway to one of the houses I have listed in the Ranch at Prescott has a really steep driveway and has tons of snow. Perfectly for sledding! Good thing no one crashed into the garage.

O Tannenbaum

It's really sad when you go to the Waste Transfer Station and the attendant there says "Christmas was a month ago". So it wasn't quite a month when we got there, but it was January 16. It's just that we loved our tree, we didn't want to say goodbye, but we finally did. There was no way I was putting the tree on my car though. I didn't want to get any scratches. Good thing we don't live very far and it's a short ride.

Now our Living Room is bare.

SNOOOOOOW

We had a huge snow storm hit. I loved it! I worked from home on Friday and Kenyon was off. It's a good thing, because he needed some time to take care of our drive way and build a snow man.

Saturday morning we were awoken to snowballs being thrown at out house. Dad, Ellen, Brisco and Sophie walked down and started pelting the house. Once we got out there and had a snowball fight my dad's white beard had grown because he had snow covering his face. I promise I didn't pelt him in the face with a snowball, but I did toss a lot of snow at him. It was hilarious!

A new beginning...

It was kind of nice this week that things slowed down a bit for me. This may be contributed to the snow. This was also a week of change for Kenyon. He put in his notice that he will be leaving Bradshaw Family Dental and moving to Mangum Dental on February 15. He will spend 1 day a week in Bagdad, and at least 2 days in the Prescott office. It's a little sad that we won't have lunch together everyday, and I'm afraid he will become thinner as he's already been told he's in charge of making his own lunches, but we'll see what happens. Keep a look out for Dr. Banfield at Mangum Dental.

Some Tenants are disgusting!

Our Tenants have moved out of the Queen Creek house, and this is basically how they left it. I don't even want to clean it, it's so disgusting and filthy.

My poor pool :(

Beneshy

My sister met a guy from Utah and brought him to Prescott to meet all of us...little did we know that Beneshy had already been formed. They were married on January 15th, the day before they came to Prescott. Ben has got to be one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Dinesh is a very lucky woman, and we are so happy for her and Ben and the kids. Congratulations again Nesh! You really are a PAYNE!

"Silent Scream"

During the past few weeks my electronics have been killing me! First my personal outlook files became corrupted. I think it's because my personal outlook files were too big, and so it died. I tried all the tricks I found on the internet. I downloaded the repair tool, and waited at least 2 hours each time for this to work. Half the time my computer would freeze and this tool would stop working. Finally, I got the repair tool downloaded and my computer froze again! UGH! Stupid thing!

Later, I created a new outlook, profile, and found most of my emails, but my contacts are all still missing. So, if you're reading this, I probably don't have your email in my outlook right now. Please feel free to email me.

Getting my outlook up and running took at least a week, and it's really put me behind on my work.

Don't worry, this gets better....I kept receiving a prompt to upgrade my Blackberry Storm, so I plugged it in and upgraded....the sad thing is I didn't realize it would delete all my contacts too. So once again, if you're reading this please email me your phone number too.

When it rains it pours....At least it's almost the year of the Tiger! My luck is sure to change.

First date of the year

This past week has really taken it's toll on me, by Friday I knew I really needed to make sure I had a break this weekend. I stayed at the office until 9pm on Friday, but on Saturday I only worked for a couple of hours. It was great! I cleaned out my closet...finally, and we took down all of our Christmas decorations. It was kind of sad, but it was time. However, I did keep up one Christmas tree in our foyer, it's a cute little tree and I will have to get decorations for it throughout the year.

Later on Saturday Kenyon went to meet with another dentist in the area to make possible plans for the future. We will keep you posted.

While he was at his meeting I got dressed up and ready for my date to come and pick me up. We went to the Olive Garden and were planning on going to a movie, but none of the ones we wanted to see started until 9:30. So instead, we rented Inkheart from the Red Box. It was so nice to actually have time to spend time with my husband.
